If you have been shopping around and talking to log home dealers, you probably spotted this. If the company uses green or wet logs, they have to allow for shrinkage. The slots in the door frame allow the Logs to move while the door frame remains stable… hopefully. Those spikes should slide in those slots. There is one more thing to see in this photo.
